On the Pacific side. Samara is a quaint little town,west of Nicoya in Guanacaste. Samara Beach is great for surfing at high tide,ideal and very safe for swimming at low tide.there are a lot of activities to choose from as well: like fishing, dolphin watch,boating trips,bird watch, horse back riding on the beach,an hour away is one of the biggest sea turtle nesting areas in the world, for hundred of thousand turtles may come and lay their eggs in a week span. The town has a variety of great restaurants serving local food, pizza, sushi, and international cuisine. Samara has grown over the years and now has a gym,and a spa, and there is also a health food store and an organic market. There are salsa, yoga, and Zumba lessons and all levels of Spanish courses available.
